Few forty something women become stand up comics for a second career, let alone speak openly onstage about their personal lives. Tracy Tedesco does both. After giving up a twenty year career in corporate recruiting, this Georgetown University grad now appears live and in style at comedy clubs and events across the country, offering social commentary that is smart, savage and sexy. From her observations on geriatric dating, to her downwardly mobile career and fear of becoming a bitter skank, Tracy offers a unique and hilarious glimpse into the urban singles ghetto. Although she didn't start in the comedy circuit until her late 30's, Tracy Tedesco had no problem breaking into the business. Her punchy, conversational style and larger than life personality made for a natural transition to stage. Tracy quickly started working in and around the Midwest, building a strong reputation for keeping the audience laughing with her hip, urban act. Ten minutes with Tracy is like sitting in on cocktail hour with the girls from Sex & the City. It wasn't long before Tracy was recruited to go overseas and entertain the troops for Armed Forces Entertainment with Chicago headliner Leon Rogers in the “Leon and Tracy – Comedy in the Med Tour” in 2004. In addition to working comedy clubs, Tracy was able to combine onstage experience with her recruiting and training background to launch herself as corporate humorist, with humorous keynote addresses like "Talking about Your Psoriasis and Other Things Not to Do In An Interview." Then Tracy caught the attention of Chicago based Soak Magazine www.soakmag.com, who immediately hired her to co-write their dating advice column,” He Says, She Says," available bimonthly at newsstands all over the Midwest. Tracy produces Les Funny Femmes, Chicago's Queens of Comedy. Les Funny Femmes enjoyed a successful run at one of the Chicago's biggest nightclubs, Joe's Bar on Weed St in 2004, and currently performs around the country. Her most recent accomplishment was being featured in the Red Eye in February, 2005 in an article about Cougars, older women who date younger men. This led to an appearance on Geraldo at Large, www.geraldoatlarge.com in March, 2005.
